Old Lenses

Last week, I woke up and noticed my left eye was red. Thinking it was just irritated, I went about my normal routine. Throughout the week, I noticed my eye wasn't getting any better so I decided to make an appointment with my eye doctor.

At my visit, she explained it was irritation that would possibly clear up in the new three days with eye drops she prescribed. She also recommended I wear my glasses while using the eyedrops. A little backstory on my glasses, they don't have the correct prescription, so I don't wear them very often.

Having to wear glasses around for the next three days was a little uncomfortable but I managed.

Sometimes you have to look through the lens of where you use to be so you can see where God has brought you from. #issaword

While looking within my own life, i can apply this word to a few areas of my life.

Some days I struggle with being single, but I have to thank God for saving me from the  toxic relationships in my past.

Some days I struggle financially, but I have to thank God because my salary now is more than it's ever been. #wonthedoit

Some days I struggle emotionally, but I thank God that he has taught me to renew my mind.

So what is your thing?

I challenge you to look through the lens of where you use to be so you can see where God has brought you from.
