I read a verse today that changed my outlook on somethings I've been struggling with.
"Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else?" (Romans 8:32)
God gave up his son Jesus, to die on a cross for our sins. I'm not a mother yet, but even now I know I couldn't imagine giving up my child. But God did.
The second part of the verse is a question, "won't he also give us everything else?"
After I read the verse, I asked myself, "what am I believing God for?"
I am believing God for healing in my body of Ulcerative Colitis. I was diagnosed with UC about three years ago. Lately,I've been going through lots of pain and other unfortunate symptoms that come along with this chronic disease. I have hope that God will heal me.
I am also believing God for a financial makeover. Can I get an amen? (lol) I sometimes beat myself up about not taking my finances seriously when I was younger, but I've learned that I can not change the past. I can change today! I have hope that starting now I have the ability to be financially stable, in Jesus name!
I feel like God is challenging me to put more hope into Him and all that He is capable of from reading that verse.
I want to ask you the same question,What are you believing God for? The God who gave up his one and only son for you. The God who is able to accomplish infinitely more than we can ask or think?
I would love for you to share what you are believing God for in the comments. I will pray and believe with you.
That one thing that you think is impossible, I dare you to ask Him. Do it even if you have to do it afraid.
